• Belize

  Belize (formerly British Honduras), is a country in Central America, bordered to the south and west by Guatemala, to the north by Mexico, and to the east by the Caribbean Sea.. It gained its independence from the British Empire in 1981. It is the only country in Central America where English is an official language. A combination of natural factors have made tourism a growing industry. Warm climate, excellent Mayan ruins, the Belize Barrier Reef (second longest in the world), 127 offshore Cayes (islands), excellent fishing, safe waters for boating, scuba diving, and snorkeling, numerous rivers for rafting, and kayaking, various jungle and wildlife reserves of fauna and flora, for hiking, bird watching, and helicopter touring, as well the largest cave system in Central America.

• Belize City

  Belize City is over 300 years old and serves as the main commercial area and seaport. It is the country’s biggest city, and is a mixture of colonial architecture, functional wooden buildings and historic cathedrals. Sights include the oldest Anglican cathedral in Latin America, St John’s, and Government House, the Belize City residence of the British Governor, built in 1814.

  The fishing village of Punta Gorda is the southernmost outpost of Belize. 40km (25 miles) north of here off the Southern Highway is the Mayan ruin of Nim Li Punit, with the tallest carved stele in Belize.

  Day 1: Belize City - Punta Gorda

  Welcome to Belize! You will be welcomed by a local representative who will ensure that you get checked in for your domestic flight to Punta Gorda to begin your Jungle & Island Elite adventure!

  Enjoy a direct flight from Belize City International Airport to Punta Gorda.

  Enjoy a shared transfer from the airport to the Belcampo Lodge.

  Nestled in the verdant hills above the Caribbean coast of southern Belize, Belcampo Lodge Belize is a self-contained sanctuary from the everyday world. The main lodge is the communal heart of the resort, with dining and lounge areas, our concierge and lobby, a well-appointed gift shop, and observation decks open to stunning vistas of the coast, Maya Mountains and seemingly endless pristine rainforest. Accommodations consist of 12 individual, privately sited suites with comfortable sleeping and relaxing spaces, screened fresh-air verandas, and luxurious spa-style baths.

  A sheltered garden path connects the main lodge to our beautifully designed spa, with a stunning pool and sundeck just outside. Beyond the pool lies a sweeping lawn where guests gather for high tea, as well as a communal fire pit – the ideal location for evening relaxation and socializing. Our 400’ private tram stands ready to whisk you down to the lodge’s riverside deck, where our waterfront dining area and Maya bar await. From here, you may also embark on tranquil cruises on the jungle reaches of the Rio Grande, with the Caribbean only minutes away.

  Included: private guides to surrounding ruins, rivers, reefs and villages using open-air customized Land Cruisers, Polaris Rangers and boats. The lodge environment includes miles of clearly marked nature trails, canoes, kayaks, mountain bikes and fishing equipment for all guests’ use, as well as a swimming pool, evening fire corral, lush garden. Additionally, there is a canopy funicular to transport guests from the lodge to the banks of the Rio Grande.

  All Inclusive Includes: all meals, activities, (motorized and non-motorized), park and entrance fees, laundry services and all beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) with the exception of premium brand beverages. The package doesn't include fishing, Tikal day tour and scuba diving.

Cayo Espanto's on-site Spa offers manicures, pedicures, facials, Aromatherapy and more. Other activities include fly fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling and birdwatching.

• Trip Terms & Conditions

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
